Job Descriptionย 

  • Candidates working in this post are required to communicate information to applicants or contractors to ensure to understand directions and city requirements.
  • They’re required at this post to develop and maintain effective client relations with City staff, Metrolinx, Conservation Authority staff, architects, arborists, and geotechnical engineers working at this post.
  • Applicants for this post are also required to prepare graphic and written material to communicate forestry practices and standards working at this post.
  • Candidates appointed to this post are required to represent the City’s interests at meetings, committees, and
    They’re appointed at this post to maintain service delivery records, correspondence and files by operating procedures working at this post.

Job requirementย 

  • Candidates must have completed a secondary degree in Forestry, Ecology or a related discipline, combined with related work experience in environmental planning to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have prior experience in the identification of native plants and plant communities in Southern Ontario, including the preparation of planting plans to get preferred for this post.
  • Applicants at this post must have prior experience of being part of multidisciplinary teams, and working cooperatively with self-directed work groups, other divisions and They must possess and be able to maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s License Class “Gโ€ working at this post.
  • They must have dedicated knowledge and the ability to administrate provisions of, tree and natural feature protection By-Laws to be preferred for this post.

Work settingย 

  • Applicants for this post must have prior knowledge of Metrolinx and the City’s transit projects and their potential impacts on trees and urban forests to be eligible for this post.
