Job Description
- Candidates applied for this post are accountable to conduct transportation planning studies and review development applications, develop recommendations, and draft reports for Committees and Council working at this post People applied for this post are also appointed to compile and analyze socio-economic and geospatial data associated with transportation planning studies working at this post.
- They’re also appointed at this post to prepare reports on multi-modal transportation issues affecting the City of Toronto working at this post.
- Candidates applied foe this post are required to design, conduct and/or coordinate research and analysis activities and surveys working at this post.
- People applied for this post are required to design, develop and maintain transportation planning information systems, data banks, and computer models to monitor transportation planning issues, trends and policies working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attains a post-secondary education in transportation planning/engineering, or in a professional discipline pertinent to the job function to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have experience performing technical analysis using data to inform policy development, such as in support of complex transportation planning projects to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must have prior experience working with a variety of computer software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GIS, Emme, XTMF, Python, Aimsun Next, Synchro to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Provide work direction on research, analysis, surveys, and report writing assignments to Assistant Planners.
