Job Description

  • The candidate must consult with other medical professionals to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
  • The candidate will be responsible for prescribing and administering medications and treatments.
  • The candidate must vaccinate and immunize patients in order to prevent and treat diseases.
  • The candidate must participate in health-care policy and planning.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising patients about health care.
  • The candidate will be responsible for hiring and training staff.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising staff.
  • The candidate must provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have a College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP), be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities, and be a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
