Almond Tree Media Inc. based in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Photographer who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. Almond Tree Media Inc., founded in 2011, has assisted numerous businesses in carrying out their strategies.

Almond Tree Media offers small and medium-sized businesses business consulting, marketing, and IT solutions. We have extensive knowledge of the real estate and food industries. In 2020, Almond Tree Media will also launch a new platform called “Vealty.ca” to provide 3D Virtual Tours, 4K Filming, Photos, 2D Floor Plans, Drones, and other real estate-related services. We have already worked with agents from every brokerage in the Greater Vancouver Area in a relatively short period of time. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to full time or permanent employment.

Job Description

  • The candidate must be able to use computers to manipulate photographic images.
  • The candidate must be able to operate scanners in order to transfer photographic images to computers.
  • The candidate will be required to retouch negatives using an airbrush, computer, or other techniques.
  • The candidate will be expected to read the brief carefully in order to understand the specifications and to collaborate closely with art team in order to develop the concept.
  • The candidate will be required to capture and process images until the desired results are obtained.
  • The candidate will be expected to constantly improve image quality through the use of various editing methods.
  • The candidate must stay current on photographic best practises and procedures.
  • The candidate will be expected to use various techniques to enhance the photographs as needed.
  • The candidate will be expected to recommend creative ideas to exceed goals and objectives.
  • The candidate will be required to review photo sets and choose the best results.
  • To achieve the desired results, the candidate will be required to use photo manipulation software such as Adobe Suite.
  • The candidate will be expected to use artistic skills to improve and compose photographs.
  • After shoots, the candidate will be required to perform retouching and image adjustments.
  • The candidate will be expected to conduct research and prepare for a shoot.
  • The candidate will be expected to use a wide range of technical equipment, such as cameras, lenses, lighting, and specialised software.
  • The candidate must keep up to date with the most recent editing software.
  • The candidate will be expected to learn how to use software to digitally enhance images, such as changing the emphasis, cropping images, correcting minor flaws, and moving objects around.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the business aspects of the job, such as administration, marketing, work scheduling, invoicing, basic accounting, and website maintenance.
  • The candidate will be required to develop a good portfolio, build a network of contacts and achieve a reputation for quality and reliability in order to secure future assignments.
  • The candidate must understand traditional film and digital photography, as well as stay current on industry trends, developments, and new techniques.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the processing and use of images, discussing technical issues, ensuring quality, and dealing with client concerns.
  • The candidate will need to communicate with other professionals such as graphic designers, writers, gallery managers, picture researchers, commissioning editors, and art directors.

  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of College or CEGEP or equivalent experience in Photography
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience in similar industry.
