Job Description

  • The candidate must assist dietitians or nutritionists planย and supervising food service operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of other medical technologists or technicians.
  • The candidate must assist with scheduling and workflow.
  • The candidate must bill third-party insurers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for compounding oral solutions, ointments, and creams.
  • The candidate must ensure that prescription information is correct, enter client information into databases, and prepare medications for clients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for helping patients in completing menus.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting dietitians with research in food, nutrition and food service systems.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and restoring ocular prostheses.
  • The candidate must interpret the physician’s specifications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising patients on loss of depth perception.
  • The candidate will be responsible for making and modifying plaster casts.
  • The candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining laboratory and fabrication equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be capable of supervising 1 to 2 people and 3 to 4 people.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
