Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to assist health care professionals.
  • The candidate must prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • The candidate must keep track of vital signs.
  • The candidate will be required to keep prescription records and medication and pharmaceutical product inventories.
  • The candidate must maintain supplies.
  • The candidate must administer medications.
  • The candidate will be expected to order and stock pharmaceutical supplies.
  • The candidate must administer medication as well as observe and document therapeutic effects.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades or equivalent experience in Medication aide.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have Pharmacy Technician Certification, CPR Certification, and First Aid Certification.

Work setting

  • The candidate will be required to work in a nursing home or a home for the elderly.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Word.

  • The candidate must be bondable.
  • The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal record check as well as an Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • The candidate must have proof of immunisation.

  • The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced busy environment.
  • The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
  • The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
