Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for bathing and shampooing animals.
The candidate must clip the animal coat.
The candidate must document animal behavior.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring animal behavior.
The candidate will be responsible for styling animal coats.
The candidate must clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting anal gland treatments.
The candidate must keep records of all animals treated.
The candidate will be responsible for cleaning animal ears.
The candidate will be responsible for providing flea bath treatments to animals.
The candidate will be responsible for clipping animal nails.
The candidate must perform expert clipping on show animals using tools such as clippers, shears, and massage sponges.
The candidate must perform dental cleaning on domestic animals.
The candidate will be responsible for training staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
The candidate will need to receive payments.
The candidate will be responsible for providing information to clients.
The candidate must explain the type and cost of the services offered.
The candidate will be responsible for cleaning the work area.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
The candidate should be client focused.
The candidate should be dependable.
The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate should have good judgemental skills.

The candidate must be able to work in hot and wet/damp conditions.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
The work site environment is air-conditioned.

The candidate must work in a pet grooming shop.
The candidate must work in the departments of sales and service.

Experience and specialization

Hair styling techniques

The candidate must be familiar with blow drying.

Type of pets groomed

The candidate must be knowledgeable about all breeds of dogs and cats.

The candidate must have work experience in cleaning.

The candidate must be knowledgeable about the product.

Animal specialization

The candidate must be knowledgeable about domestic animals/pets (such as cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs).
