Job Description

  • The candidate must inspect buildings and outdoor areas for signs of infestation.
  • The candidate must determine the type of treatment that is required.
  • The candidate must prepare and spray chemical mixtures on infested areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for placing and setting traps to capture and remove animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cleaning up pest-infested areas.
  • The candidate must advise clients on how to prevent pest infestations.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate must have a provincial pesticide applicator licence.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Security and safety

  • The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driver’s licence validity check.

Transportation/travel information

  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
  • The employer will provide the candidate with a vehicle.

  • The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
  • The candidate should have an eye for details.
  • The candidate must be willing to work long hours in sitting, standing, and walking positions.
