Job Description

• The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
• The candidate must administer medications.
• The candidate will assist clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
• The candidate will be expected to assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must go shopping for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
• The candidate must be able to administer first aid and other assistance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting three months to less than one year, or equivalent experience as a home health aide/home attendant.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• Fluency in Tiv is an asset.
• The candidate must have a CPR Certificate and a Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
