Job Description
- Candidates who applied for this post are responsible for supporting total resident care, according to a Resident Care Plan, ensuring residents’ optimal functioning and well-being in a supportive, therapeutic environment working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate program*, which meets the standards established in the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, to be eligible for this post.
- They must know of Clinical Practicum hours within the Personal Support Worker program consisting of a minimum of 140 hours to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates must know about maintaining resident hygiene, optimal functioning, well-being, feeding, and elimination to be eligible for this post.
- People must have Health Care Aide routines and practices in a long-term care setting and must have Infection prevention and control guidelines to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must maintain the Transfer and positioning techniques of residents and must have knowledge of rehabilitation and palliative care approaches to be preferred for this post.
Work setting
- They must have prior knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have good interpersonal and communication skills to be preferred for this post.
- They must have to meet the physical demands of the job and must have to be self-motivated to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates must be able to display a positive attitude towards older persons to be eligible for this post.
