Job Description
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to provide functional guidance, mentoring, coaching and training to full-time and temporary/seasonal staff working at this post.
- They’re also accountable for assisting in winter on-call supervision/monitoring of contracted maintenance programs working at this post.
- People who apply for this post are required to lead maintenance activities and resources, including prioritizing, organizing, scheduling, assigning and monitoring.
- They’re accountable for preparing detailed activity documentation for staff/equipment time and materials used working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed post-secondary education in civil engineering, business administration or related field.
- They must attain the ability to obtain a Certified Engineering Technician designation with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians to be preferred for this post.
- They must have demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office programs and other City applications to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have demonstrated understanding and execution of collective agreement, City policies/agreements and Provincial/Federal legislation to be eligible for this post.
- They must have demonstrated competency in working in a team environment to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- They must have a valid Province of Ontario driver’s license in good standing and the ability to use a City/personal vehicle to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain the ability to obtain Certified Road Supervisor designation with the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors within the first 12 months of employment to be eligible for this post.
