Job Description
- Applicants working in this post are required to enable workplace safety compliance through the development and review of OHS programs or protocols.
- They’re also appointed at this post to conduct written risk assessments/safety inspections .

Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated post-secondary diploma, related degree, or certificate in Occupational Health and/or Safety or a related field.
- They must have a safety-related professional designation (CRSP) to be eligible for this post.
- They must have 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in a unionized municipal environment to be preferred for this post.
- They must have dedicated knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC OHS Regulations.
- Applicants must have proven experience with accident investigation techniques, excavation safe work practices, and workplace inspections.
Work setting
- Candidates must have dedicated experience with implementing safety initiatives and delivering safety training to diverse work groups.
