Job Description

  • The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • The candidate must assess patients in order to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
  • The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
  • The candidate must deliver health education programs.
  • The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • The candidate must operate or monitor medical equipment or apparatus.
  • The candidate must provide consulting services on matters pertaining to nursing practice and the nursing profession.
  • The candidate must be able to provide nursing care.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising licenced practical nurses and other nursing personnel.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have a CPR certificate and be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, as well as Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a hospital or home for the aged; an aged care home, residential care and nursing home all describe the same service.
