Job Description
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to assist in administering contracts for Parks Division work at this post.
- People are also required to complete a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks, including but not limited to trail vegetation pruning and invasive plant removal working at this post.
- Candidates are accountable for responding to service requests from the public working at this post.
- They’re required to prepare reports and maintain records working at this post.
- Candidates are accountable for working on a team or alone completing heavy physical work in all weather conditions, requiring sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a valid BC Driver’s license with a safe driving record to be eligible for this post.
- They must have completed B.C. Pesticide Applicator Certificate to be eligible for this post.
- They must have completed Grade 12 and a Technical Certificate Program from an approved post-secondary institution to be eligible for this post.
- They must have a minimum of 6 months of recent experience in the management of natural areas to be preferred for this post.
- Candidates must have completed Grade 12, supplemented by successful completion of five additional relevant courses from an approved post-secondary education institution in any of the following course areas: Biology, Urban land management, Ecology, Conservation, Wildlife management and others to be eligible for this post.
