Job Description
- Candidates who apply for this post are accountable for inspecting sites to ensure safe working conditions and that the interests of public safety are maintained.
- They’re also appointed to review traffic control measures to ensure they are in accordance with OTM Book 7 requirements working at this post.
- People who applied for this post are required to examine plans, drawings and specifications for municipal construction projects and subdivision servicing agreements.
- They’re appointed at this post to communicate with the Manager, Supervisor, Project Manager or Contract Coordinator and provide updates on project progress or delays working at this post.
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to maintain document deficient items and follow up on directions to ensure deficiencies are properly corrected.
- They’re accountable for performing warranty inspections for final acceptance and release of securities working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must be able to complete all duties and responsibilities listed above and must require the successful completion of a post-secondary Civil Engineering Program.
- People must have a C. Tech or a C.E.T designation with OACETT and must attain a minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in municipal infrastructure construction to be eligible for this post.
- People must have excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize and organize work.
- Candidates must attain exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- People applying for this post must hold a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and a clean driving record acceptable to the City.
- They must have strong computer skills along with good working knowledge of INFOR, Hat-TW, Excel, Word & Outlook to be considered as an asset for this post.
