Job Description

  • People are also required to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other staff members and external stakeholders working at this post.
  • They must be able to share knowledge and expertise with other staff members and must be able to practice in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standards and Ministry expectations working in this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must be registered as Registered Nurses with the College of Nurses of Ontario and be in good standing to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have completed the mental health nurse certification program upon job offer and complete certification requirements within a specified period of time to get preferred for this post.
  • They must be able to interpret and evaluate information from patients and other sources and draw conclusions to develop treatment and care plans.
  • Candidates must be able to evaluate patient responses to planned interventions and modify interventions in collaboration with the interprofessional team to achieve established inmate goals to be considered as an asset for this post.
