MacEwan Medical Clinic is located in Calgary, AB T3K 2P2. The company is currently seeking applications for the position of Medical Office Assistant. Job Description

  • The candidate must greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas.
  • The candidate must provide basic information to clients and the public.
  • The candidate must obtain and process the necessary information to provide effective customer service.
  • The candidate must be able to operate a switchboard or phone system.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ordering office supplies.
  • The candidate must record and relay information.
  • The candidate must schedule and confirm appointments.
  • The candidate must send invoices.
  • The candidate must keep work records and logs.
  • The candidate must receive and issue payments.
  • The candidate must perform clerical duties, including filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
  • The candidate must answer the phone and relay phone calls and messages.
  • The candidate must provide services to people with disabilities.
  • The candidate must perform basic bookkeeping tasks.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a one to two-year program.

  • The ability to speak Hindi, Urdu, or Punjabi will be considered an asset.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about Electronic medical records, Switchboard (1-25 lines), MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows.

  • The candidate must have their vehicle.
  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
