Job description

  • Will be required to interview patients to obtain case histories.
  • Will be required to determine office procedures and routines.
  • Will be required to establish office procedures and routines.
  • Will be required to complete insurance and other claim forms.
  • Will be required to carry out administrative activities of the establishment.
  • Will be required to administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Will be required to oversee office administrative procedures.
  • Will be required to coordinate office administrative procedures.
  • Will be required to review new administrative procedures.
  • Will be required to evaluate new administrative procedures.
  • Will be required to implement new administrative procedures.
  • Will be required to ensure that procedures are followed.
  • Will be required to establish work priorities.
  • Will be required to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Will be required to co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services.
  • Will be required to assist in the preparation of operating budget.
  • Will be required to maintain inventory.
  • Will be required to maintain budgetary controls.
  • Will be required to assemble data.
  • Will be required to prepare periodic and special reports.
  • Will be required to prepare manuals and correspondence.
  • Will be required to enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence.
  • Will be required to prepare spreadsheets and documents for review.
  • Will be needed to initiate confidential medical files and records.
  • Will be required to maintain confidential medical files and records.
  • Will be needed to prepare draft agendas for meetings.
  • Will be needed to take, transcribe and distribute minutes.
  • Will be required to supervise other staff in procedures and in use of current software 
  • Will be required to train other staff in procedures and in use of current software.

Requirements 

  • Should have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience of 1 year to less than 2 years is required to apply for this position.
  • Should be able to work in a fast paced environment.
