Job Description

  • The candidate must assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction.
  • The candidate must assist in the preparation of design, drawings, and specifications.
  • The candidate must perform a limited number of mechanical tests and analyses on machines, components, and materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to help with machine installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • The candidate will be required to use computer-aided design software (CAD)
  • The candidate will be required to estimate costs and materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to prepare and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare standards and schedules.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and inspecting mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • The candidate will be required to perform machine and equipment testing.
  • The candidate must design, develop, and test power equipment and systems.
  • The candidate must be able to programme CNC machine tools.
  • The candidate will be required to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications in order to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate or diploma from a college, CEGEP, or other non-university programme lasting one to two years.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.

Experience and Specialization

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • The candidate should be familiar with AutoCAD, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word, Programmable logic controller (PLC), SolidWorks software, TCP/IP, C++, Programming software, and Programming languages.

Instrument Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience with precision measuring instruments.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience with 3D pantographs.

Area of Specialization

  • The candidate should be knowledgeable about machinery and components.
