Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to receive and rotate meat in the cooler.
- Candidates for this post are required to maintain scans inventory, and ensure reworks and destroys.
- Candidates at this post are appointed to bring cases of meat, up to 80 lbs, from the cooler and empty contents onto the meat cutting or other preparation area.
- They’re also required to cut and trim meat to Costco specification using band saws, knives or automatic slicers.
- Candidates are also required to operate a tenderizing machine and roast tire working at this post.
- Candidates for this post are appointed to operate a meat grinder, dump meat onto the top of the machine and check the fat content of each batch from the grinder.
- They’re also required at this post to follow proper department production procedures and standards for the quality and consistency of finished products.
- Candidates for this post are required to clean and sanitize the area throughout the day.
- Candidates are also appointed to perform duties to comply with health codes, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
- Candidates for this post are required to perform a seafood roadshow as described in the Costco Seafood RoadShow manual.
- They’re also appointed to provide and ensure prompt and courteous member service working at this post.
Job requirement
- They must have a dedicated high School Diploma to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated food safety certification to be eligible for this post.
- They must have meat-cutting experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must pass the Costco meat-cutting test to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must be able to communicate in French to be eligible for this post.
