Job Description 

  • Candidates applied for this post are appointed to develop, recommend and administer the annual budget for the unit and ensure that the unit’s expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations working at this post.
  • Applicants are also accountable to monitor project status and capital delivery rates to ensure completion in accordance with approved plans working at this post.
  •  Candidates are also accountable at this post to represent the Transportation Services Division at the City Council, Committees of Council, external agency meetings and public meetings.
  • They’re required to represent the Transportation Services Division on major transportation infrastructure project issues in interviews with the media applied for this post.
  • People who applied for this post are also accountable for responding to public requests/complaints regarding major transportation infrastructure project issues.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning / Urban Planning or Project Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have to be highly developed in interpersonal skills, human relations, political acumen, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Applicants must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and oral/written communication skills to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain the ability to foster an organizational culture that emphasizes innovation, collaboration, transparency, accountability and trust while promoting a strong code of ethics and integrity to support public service excellence to be eligible for this post.
