Job description
- Candidates are responsible for the development of the transit infrastructure framework for on-street transit infrastructure, transit stations/terminals and transit facilities and managing team level action plans.
- They are also responsible for aligning both operating and capital budgets for transit infrastructure to support the City’s strategic priorities and MiWay’s business direction.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning/Engineering or a related field.
- They must have a registered member in good standing with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
- They also must have a minimum of ten (10) years progressive job experience in a municipal/public transportation/transit sector or consulting experience.
- Candidates must have municipal transportation/transit asset management experience related to the development of asset management programs would be an asset.
- They must have superior communications skills, written and verbal, to be able to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and report-writing skills.

- Candidates must have the ability to effectively lead and guide the work of multiple staff teams through effective coaching and leadership.
- They also must have strong strategic and analytical capabilities to identify patterns of complex problems/issues to find the optimal solutions in a fast -paced work environment.
- Candidates also must have excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships among teams and with groups of experts and professionals.
