Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are required to contribute to the development of departmental long-term planning and annual plans.
  • They’re also required to lead the development and implementation of the annual operational plan.
  • Candidates are also required to develop policies, systems, and procedures and monitor performance targets for the branch.
  • They’re also required to coordinate the development of the Department Budget, providing support and direction to all branches for monitoring and variance reporting.
  • Candidates are required to provide advice and guidance to senior city leaders.
  • They’ll have to build and foster cross-departmental/divisional relationships. Also, Develop an annual branch-wide workforce plan and provide leadership to branch staff working at this post. 
  • They’re appointed at this post to lead the execution of the department’s Employee Engagement plan.
  • Candidates are also required to monitor branch culture and productivity and intervene working at this post. 

Job requirement 

  • They must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Public Administration to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have a CPA designation and a dedicated 5+ years in progressively responsible roles within finance, operations, and human resources to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have knowledge of core financial management practices, performance/service delivery models, and human resources.
  • Candidates for this post must know specific issues, trends, and challenges within the context of the broader Department and have an understanding of broader City operations.
  • They must have proficiency in business administration, information technology systems support, and customer services to be eligible for this post.
