Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are required to ensure programs address key municipal and community priorities through research, stakeholder consultation, community engagement, and coordination.
- People who apply for this post are required to provide strategic advice and recommendations to City Councillors, Senior Management, Divisions and agencies on matters related to immigration and settlement.
- Applicants applying for this post are required to develop, recommend, and administer the annual budget for the team and ensure that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
- People accountable to manage, motivate, and train the unit’s staff, ensuring effective teamwork and high standards of work quality working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have experience in project management within a multi-stakeholder environment with a successful track record in achieving results.
- People must have experience in planning, executing, and reporting on community and stakeholder engagement to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain Post-secondary education in a relevant professional discipline like Public Administration, Sociology, Human/Social Services or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Applicants must attain the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, including one that may call upon emergency responses, to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and exercise discretion and sound judgment to be eligible for this post.
