Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are required to provide strategic advice and counsel and make recommendations, including making relevant presentations, to senior management on strategies and programs which are critical to Hydro One’s success in the area of Indigenous relations working at this post.
- Candidates for this post are also required to establish and maintain relationships with government officials at the local, provincial and federal levels, major corporations, industry and Indigenous associations
- Candidates for this post are appointed to establish and implement consultation plans necessary to influence and secure regulatory and government approvals for major transmission projects, maintenance and sustainment work.
- They’re also appointed at this post to provide leadership and be accountable for the successful implementation and delivery of assigned work programs and special projects.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must have 5+ years of progressively senior work experience, in Indigenous relations and engagement, stakeholder relations, land or environment to be eligible for this post.
- They must have experience working in Indigenous communities on major capital projects leading engagement planning and strategy to be eligible for this post.
- They must have a dedicated track record and experience in negotiations required to get preferred for this post.
- Candidates for this post must be highly self-motivated and relationship-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have strong strategic planning skills and people leadership experience to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to work as needed outside of work hours to meet business needs.
- They must be able to drive results personally and through a team in a fast-paced environment in a timely and strategic manner to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must have a dedicated high degree of PC literacy, including MS Office applications and others to be preferred for this post.
- Candidates must have a dedicated bachelor’s degree and a strong customer focus to be eligible for this post.
