Job Description
- Applicants working at this post are required to provide labour services in both front- and back-country locations using hand tools, chainsaws, brush saws, and other mechanized equipment.
- Candidates are also appointed to be physically demanding and require individuals to be physically fit and adaptable working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed secondary school or a Public Service Commission-approved alternative to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have performed routine maintenance tasks including general repair to trails, roads, bridges, and/or landscaping to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must required for using hand and power tools directly related to trail building, landscaping, and/or grounds maintenance to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must attain dedicated experience in operating equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and tractors.
- Candidates must be able to work in adverse conditions and must attain the ability to analyze and solve operational problems while working in the field to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience within the past 5 years to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain knowledge of safe work practices and procedures to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must attain knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of hand tools and light mechanized equipment to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting
- They must attain the ability to contribute and perform within a team environment to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must have experience in carpentry and construction to be eligible for this post.
