Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to provide general maintenance, repair and labour services to support grounds, roads and facilities maintenance.
- They’re also required for construction and installation proceedings working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates working in this post must attain experience in labour activities involving the repair and maintenance of buildings/structures.
- They must attain dedicated experience involving the use of hand tools, power tools and power equipment.
- Candidates are also appointed to deliver knowledge of general labour practices and procedures.
- Candidates must attain dedicated knowledge of safety practices and the ability to operate small hand tools and powered equipment.
- Candidates must attain fall arrest certification and dedicated traffic control certification to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain dedicated knowledge of roads and ground maintenance practices and procedures.
- They must know carpentry practices and procedures to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must acquire a valid class 5 Nova Scotia Driver’s License or other provincial equivalency.
- Candidates must attain the ability to understand and carry out instructions.
- They must attain the ability to operate small hand tools and powered equipment.
Work setting
- They must have to ensure the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required.
