Job requirement 

  • Applicants must have a high school diploma or a combination of training, education and experiences relevant to the position to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must attain the ability to apply safety measures and to identify situations that represent a health and safety risk to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates who apply for this post must attain the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • They must attain the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to be eligible for this post.
  • They must attain the ability to detect and repair basic anomalies with equipment or in the work environment to be preferred for this post.
  •  Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have a class 5 Driver’s license with air brake endorsement and equipment operators or relevant experience to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • Applicants applying for this post must have a certification for chainsaw use and must have the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must attain the willingness to work and travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation to get preferred for this post.
