Job Description

  • Candidates who applied for this post are required to assist in the maintenance of the City’s Vacuum Leaf Collection and Windrow Clearing program databases working at this post.
  • They’re also accountable for providing leadership in the delivery of summer and winter maintenance programs following City standards working at this post.
  • Candidates are also accountable for assisting in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of the annual road maintenance and operations work plan working at this post.
  • People accountable at this post to prepare and maintain daily patrol reports working at this post.
  • Candidates are also required to communicate, record and appropriately actions responses to public complaints and service requests related to immediate hazards and safety issues working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have completed post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, or related field to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must possess or are currently in the process of obtaining, a Certified Engineering Technician (C.Tech) or Technologist to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in municipal operations, maintenance or construction services to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have an understanding of road maintenance procedures and materials used to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing tasks to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated ability to carry out measurements and maintain records of such to be eligible for this post.

Work setting

  • Candidates are required to provide documentation to Risk Management in response to claims.
  • They’re also required to complete special projects and research for reports and studies working at this post.
