Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for assembling stationary industrial machinery.
- The candidate will be responsible for coaching and instructing apprentices.
- The candidate will be responsible for detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions.
- The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- The candidate must construct foundations for machinery.
- The candidate will be responsible for repairing or replacing defective machinery parts.
- The candidate must fabricate parts required for overhaul, maintenance, or setup.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work on machinery.
- The candidate must operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
- The candidate must program programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- The candidate will be responsible for installing machinery and equipment.
- The candidate will be responsible for operating hoisting and lifting equipment.
- The candidate must set up systems and components.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
- The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should work on the installation stage at which machinery is unpacked, reassembled, realigned, connected to essential services, and tested exhaustively to ensure it operates at peak operating efficiency when it finally goes into production.
- The candidate should work in maintenance, fixing and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
- The candidate should have experience with repair work, which involves restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good working order.
- The candidate should be involved in thorough overhaul work, with a focus on making significant changes for repairs.
- The candidate should focus on machine setup, which is the time it takes to prepare a machine for its next run after completing the last part of the previous run.
- Work settings include shopwork.
Experience and specialization
Computer and technology knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about Microsoft Office.
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience operating automated and robotic system, conveyor, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, gas and air dryers, gas compressors, heat exchangers, hydraulic system, lathes and other machining tools, pneumatic system, power tools, power transmission system, press brakes and metalworking equipment, pumps and compressors, tool grinders and forklift.
Area of specialization
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about shutdown operations, rigging and handling, troubleshooting, bearings, seals, and packing, laser leveling/alignment, programming logic controllers (PLC), and welding.

- The candidate must have their own transportation.
