Job Description
- Candidates will have to load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property safe and secure at all times.
- Candidates will also have to operate portable communications devices.
- Candidates will also have to record and acknowledge receipt and delivery of trailers.
- They will have to perform vehicle and trailer safety checks.
- Candidates will have to complete documentation and maintain records.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a valid Class 1/A driver’s license with the appropriate provincial air brake endorsements.
- They must have a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
- They must attain physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg/50 lb.
- They must have to ensure availability to work locally on short notice.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain experience as a professional driver in commercial delivery.
