Job description

• The candidate will be required to shop for food.
• The candidate will be required to take a note of household supplies and shop for them as well.
• The candidate will be required to provide personal care to the clients.
• The candidate will be required to provide companionship to the clients.
• The candidate will be required to prepare and serve nutritious meals to the clients.
• The candidate will be required to perform light housekeeping duties.
• The candidate will be required to perform cleaning duties.
• The candidate will be required to launder clothing at times.
• The candidate will be required to clean household linens.
• The candidate will be required to administer bedside care to the clients.
• The candidate will be required to administer personal care to the clients.
• The candidate will be required to feed the clients or assist in feeding.
• The candidate will be required to administer the clients with medications.
• The candidate will be required to assist the clients in regular exercise like walking etc.
• The candidate will be required to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The Work Setting is the employer’s or client’s home;
• Room and board provided to the candidate.
• The candidate will be required to tend to elderly people.
• The candidate will be required to tend to persons with a disability.
• The candidate will be required to tend to females.

Requirements

• The candidate should have a College or equivalent degree.
• The candidate should have a CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• The candidate should have equivalent experience in the field.
• Experience will be given preference.
• The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
• The candidate should have a CPR Certificate.
• The candidate should be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• It is better if the candidate knows Cantonese language in addition to English.
• The candidate should be focused on the clients.
• The candidate should be flexible.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• Should know English.
