Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for patrolling and supervising activities.
  • The candidate must ensure the safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare reports.
  • The candidate will be expected to lead or instruct others.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising activities at an aquatic facility.
  • The candidate will be responsible for explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure patron safety.
  • The candidate will be expected to monitor designated areas for signs of danger.
  • The candidate will be responsible for responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning.
  • The candidate will be required to administer first aid in the event of an injury, rescue swimmers in distress or in danger of drowning, and, if necessary, administer CPR and/or artificial respiration.
  • The candidate will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and orderly.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep records and reports.
  • When appropriate or necessary, the candidate will be required to provide assistance to patrons.
  • The candidate must evaluate conditions for safety and initiate an aquatics emergency action plan as needed.
  • The candidate will be expected to closely monitor pool-related activities throughout the shift and identify any safety issues.
  • In the event of an emergency, the candidate must be able to act quickly and appropriately to ensure the safety of the patrons.
  • On a regular basis, the candidate will be required to treat the pool with the appropriate concentration of chemicals.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep order in swimming areas.
  • The candidate will be expected to closely monitor weather reports in order to ensure the safety of guests.
  • In hazardous conditions, the candidate will be expected to direct swimmers out of the pool.
  • The candidate will be expected to warn swimmers about potentially dangerous situations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware of the facility’s rules.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all life-saving equipment is in place and operational.
  • The candidate will be expected to perform various maintenance duties as directed in order to keep the facility clean and safe.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Previous experience is not mandatory.
  • The candidate must have First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate and Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
  • The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be punctual.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.

  • The candidate will be required to remain alert to potentially hazardous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for varying periods of time.
  • The candidate must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment

  • The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
  • The candidate should be willing to work in sitting, standing and walking position for long hours.

  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

  • The candidate should be skilled at interacting with people of various ages and from various backgrounds.
  • The candidate must have excellent observation skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent customer service skills.
  • The candidate must be able to prioritise tasks, manage their time, and balance professional and personal obligations.
