Job Description

  • Applicants who applied for this post are accountable for performing lifeguarding functions according to Provincial and Surrey’s guidelines working at this post.
  • Candidates are also accountable for observing patrons in the pool, enforce safety regulations, and maintain order in the swimming and desk areas.
  • People applied for this post are accountable to provide First Aid treatment working at this post.
  • People who apply for this post are required to engage with a diverse client base to provide exceptional service working at this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed to this post to provide a clean and safe swimming environment working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have completion of Grade 10 plus formal Lifeguard and Swim Instructor training to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have dedicated certificates from the Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor, National Lifeguard Service – Pool Option, Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED and others working at this post.
  • They must be able to meet the requirements to be a lifeguard under the BC Public Health Act Pool Regulations to be eligible for this post.
  • People who applied for this post must have available evenings and Full Weekend availability.
  • Candidates must complete a rigorous screening process Physical standards Testing, First aid diagnostic and treatment

Work setting

  • People applying for this post are required to demonstrate appropriate behaviours in line with our City Values.
  • Candidates are also accountable for being required to perform water tests to ensure adequate water quality and will occasionally work with Chlorine and other chemicals related to pool operations working at this post.
