Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for administering medications.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring infection control.
- The candidate must administer medication as well as observe and document therapeutic effects.
- The candidate must take vital signs, use aseptic techniques such as sterile dressing, control infection, monitor nutritional intake, and collect specimens.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring established respiratory and intravenous therapy.
- The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing nursing services to patients within a defined scope of practice based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
- The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be eligible for practical nurse licensure in the province/territory of work, as well as have a CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
Work setting
- The candidate must be willing to relocate to the specified location.
- The candidate must work in a nursing home or home for the elderly.
