Job Description
- Candidates for this post are also required to provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services respecting the client’s right to individualized planning of health services.
- They’re appointed at this post to work with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance with policies and procedures.
- They’re appointed at this post to administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice working at this post.
- Candidates are also required at this post to maintain the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- They’re appointed at this post to apply dressings and treatments according to the physician’s orders and policy.
- Candidates for this post are required to assist with the supervision and evaluation of job performance and behaviour of other health care staff.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must have registered with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body working at this post.
- They must acquire the ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Candidates must have a valid CPR & First Aid Certification and a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire to be eligible for this post.
- They must have completed documents regarding any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care to be preferred for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to write and speak in English and French to be preferred for this post.
Work setting
- They must have previous working experience with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment to be eligible for this post.
