Job description
- Their day at the depot begins with sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries, followed by loading and driving a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- Delivering mail and packages to customers on their route, whether on foot or in a vehicle, will occupy the majority of their day outdoors.
- Upon completion, they need to return to the depot to unload the incoming mail and packages, slated for later delivery.
Job requirement
- A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required) is a mandatory qualification.
- Regularly lifting mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carrying items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) is part of the daily routine.
- The ability to work in all weather conditions and be on-call is a prerequisite.
