United Landscapes, located in Kelowna, BC V1X 7R1, is seeking an enthusiastic Landscape worker with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate for this position is expected to start work as quickly as possible. The role being offered is Seasonal employment or a full-time job. The shift timings for this position include the Day, Overtime, Early Morning and Morning.

Job Description

  • The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
  • The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
  • The candidate must rake and collect trash.
  • The candidate must remove garbage and litter.
  • The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • The candidate must lay sod or seed.
  • The candidate must plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs.
  • The candidate will be responsible for removing trees.
  • The candidate must assist in the pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be punctual.
  • The candidate must be hardworking.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
  • The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, which is the art and profession of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, usually in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
  • The candidate should work in maintenance, focusing on fixing and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
