Landscape worker

Preferred Landscaping is located in Winfield, BC. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Landscape Worker. We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant must join and begin their duties as soon as possible. The open positions are for Seasonal employment or full-time jobs. The shift schedule encompasses shift times that include Early Morning and Morning.

Job Description

  • The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
  • The candidate must tie and secure plants.
  • The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
  • The candidate must cut the grass.
  • The candidate must rake and collect trash.
  • The candidate must remove garbage and litter.
  • The candidate must apply fertilizers.
  • The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
  • The candidate must water and care for plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating various equipment and machinery, including a chain saw, pick-up truck, rototiller, sod cutter and weed trimmer/edger.

  • The candidate should undergo a thorough criminal record check, driver’s licence validity, and driving record check (abstract).

  • The candidate must have their own transportation.
