Job Description

  • The candidate must assist with landscape construction.
  • The candidate must cut grass.
  • The candidate must rake and collect trash.
  • The candidate must remove garbage and litter.
  • The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • The candidate must lay sod or seed.
  • The candidate must be able to maintain and repair equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for watering and maintaining plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Student status

  • The candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in the landscape maintenance division, which is the art and profession of keeping a landscape healthy, clean, safe, and attractive, usually in a garden, yard, park, institutional setting, or estate.
  • The candidate must work in park and recreation sites.
  • The candidate should work in associations and non-profit organizations, a legal entity organized and operated for a collective, public or social benefit.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating small engine equipment, a tractor mower, and a weed trimmer/edger.

Transportation/travel information

  • The candidate must have their own transportation.
  • There is no access to public transportation.

  • The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
  • The candidate must perform manual dexterity tasks.

  • The candidate must be willing to work long hours in sitting, standing, and walking positions.

  • The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
