Job Description

• The candidate must operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
• The candidate must assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
• The candidate will be responsible for grinding or chipping excess metal from metal products with hand tools.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning the machines and the immediate work areas.
• The candidate must load and unload vehicles.
• The candidate must assist trucks and delivery drivers in loading and unloading vehicles.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning the work area.
• The candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift or dolly.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising metal products machine operators.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be resourceful.

Work site environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in a metal product manufacturing company.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience using a dolly, lifting device, shotblaster, metal spray equipment, and hand tools.

Security and safety

• The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must have their own vehicle.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must perform manual dexterity tasks.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.

Own tools/equipment

• The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat.
