Job Description

  • The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • The candidate must help the medical examiner in charge.
  • The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
  • The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
  • The candidate must clean and stack salvaged materials.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.
  • The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • The candidate will be responsible for tending or feeding construction machines and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing traffic near construction sites.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • Candidate having experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

On the road job

  • Work locations may differ. The employee must travel frequently or constantly.

Work site environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty and hot conditions.

  • The candidate must be willing to work in a remote location.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have experience operating various equipment, including bobcats, concrete vibrators, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, grinding machines, jackhammers, air compressors, drills, small front end loaders, chain saws, forklifts, and sledgehammers.

Construction specialization

  • The candidate must be skilled in the construction of roads and bridges.
