Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to engage with stakeholders and partners to develop and support collaborative projects available in the organization.
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to provide and facilitate the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in projects, program proposals, and internal programming, and make recommendations to management.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a dedicated secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, experience, or traditional knowledge relevant to the position.
- They must have dedicated experience engaging with external parties, including Indigenous partners and organizations on various programs.
- Candidates must attain experience in building positive relationships with Indigenous communities and supporting consultation or engagement activities to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to identify issues and raise concerns from an Indigenous perspective to colleagues and managers to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the ability to review communications and proposals to ensure sensitivity towards Indigenous perspectives.
- Candidates must be able to plan, prioritize and organize complex objectives and priorities.
- They must attain the ability to engage with Indigenous partners and communities to initiate and develop projects and programs.
- Candidates must be able to collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts and attain the dedicated willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment.
Work setting
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to maintain a dedicated class 5F or 5I Driver’s License, or provincial equivalent.
