Paramjit’s kitchen is located at 116 First Street W, Revelstoke, BC V0E 2S0. The company is currently seeking applications for the Kitchen Helper role. We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and assume their responsibilities as soon as possible. The open positions are for Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The timings of shifts may be Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours and Morning.

Job Description

  • The candidate must clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • The candidate must be able to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glasses, and flatware.
  • The candidate must place dishes in the storage area.
  • The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • The candidate will be responsible for tracking the quantities of food consumed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for packaging take-out food.
  • The candidate must portion and wrap food.
  • The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • The candidate will be responsible for stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • The candidate must clean, peel, slice, and trim foods using both manual and electrical appliances.
  • The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen waste and trash regularly.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
  • The candidate will be responsible for washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
