Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to develop and implement information system policies and procedures.
  • The candidate will be required to authorise the development of product or service specifications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assigning, coordinating, and reviewing projects and programmes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.
  • The candidate will be required to meet with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide thought leadership while also driving value creation for our customers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions.
  • The candidate will be expected to contribute to the team’s growth.
  • The candidate will be expected to lead specific customer engagement and interaction at the Director and VP levels.
  • The candidate will be responsible for owning, defining, developing, and executing a customer-outcome plan.
  • The candidate will be required to interact, communicate, and collaborate with other departments within AWS such as our sales, support, and services teams, business development, marketing, partners, and professional services.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the Development Team’s day-to-day workload, ensuring that work is allocated, prioritised, and completed within defined KPIs.
  • The candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in and dedication to the advancement of automation and testing techniques.
  • The candidate will be expected to establish Agile and SDLC development best practises while adhering to enterprise policies, tools, and processes.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide day-to-day direction and guidance to a development team that is working on the support and improvement of multiple applications using a variety of technologies.
  • The candidate will be expected to supervise the design, development, and unit testing of application components.
  • The candidate will be required to perform people management activities such as recruiting, hiring/firing, employee development, performance management, compensation planning (promotion), work assignment distribution, leave authorization, and inter/intra team issue resolution.
  • The candidate will be expected to contribute to all phases of software development, from project specification to deployment.
  • The candidate will be expected to oversee and maintain a disaster recovery or business technology succession plan.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and protection of all data, network access, and systems.
  • The candidate will be in charge of updating the operating system software and applications as well as monitoring security certificates.
  • The candidate will be required to analyse and determine the feasibility of automating programmes, develop new applications, and modify existing applications.
