Job Description 

  • Candidates working at this are appointed to act as a primary witness in court regarding the conduct of an investigation.
  • They’re also appointed to conduct research and forensic financial analysis to establish proof of tax offenses and to document and prove beyond a reasonable doubt any fraudulent schemes detected.
  • Candidates working at this post are appointed to establish the theory of proof, conduct interviews, evaluate witnesses, procure, preserve and weigh all evidence and defenses to determine whether a criminal prosecution recommendation is warranted. 
  • They’re also appointed to prepare a prosecution report including recommendations to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC).

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain dedicated experience in forensic accounting/audits as part of civil or criminal investigations. 
  • They must have completed CRA’s minimum education standard for the AU-Auditing group to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must obtain research and analysis of evidence related to offenses to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must attain superb communication skills for being eligible for this post.
  • They must attain dedicated experience for performing Internal audits to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attains a certificate, diploma, or degree in Forensic Accounting to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain dedicated external audits and/or review engagements of corporate financial statements.

Work setting 

  • They must attain a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license.
