Job Description

  • People applying for this post are required to ensure that communities, residents and visitors have access to the recreation and cultural places, programs and events.
  • They’re also accountable at this post for ensuring the best possible client experience in City facilities working at this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must attain Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates and must have AODA Customer Service/IASR Training to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must have completed High Five training courses and must know interpretive techniques, aesthetic and technical concepts, and handling of program materials in the discipline of instruction.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of general registration and visitor procedures to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have prior working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and corporate/ departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience practising and teaching in a related discipline to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have previous experience working with children in an arts instructional setting to be considered as an asset for this post.

Work setting

  • They must have strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Candidates must have strong organizational and listening skills and must attain the ability to work well with others to be preferred for this post.
