Job Description 

  • Applicants working at this post are required to assist with Special Events at the site.
  •  They’re also required at this post to observe and mitigate any threats to the site, cultural resources, or artefacts, including patrolling Mi’kmaq petroglyph sites working at this post.
  • Candidates are also appointed at this post to supervise students and Heritage Presenters working at this post.
  • They’re also required at this post to connect visitors with site-specific themes and share the stories related to the site in a dynamic and culturally sensitive way with visitors of all ages applied for this post.
  • Candidates are also required at this post to customize programming to a variety of visitors of all ages and origins, relating to the Indigenous cultural significance of the site working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to the position to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants applying for this post must have a secondary school diploma or PSC-approved alternatives to be considered as an asset for this post.
  • Candidates must have successful completion of a minimum of 3 courses relevant to the duties of the position to be considered as an asset for this post.
  • Applicants who applied for this post must attain experience in the planning, promoting, and delivery of interpretive events to be eligible for this post.
  •  They must attain experience with audio/visual equipment, computer equipment and software.

Work setting 

  • Candidates must acquire prior experience in supervising staff or volunteers along with dedicated experience in working with Mi’kmaq communities and/or elders to be considered an asset for this post.
