Job Description
- Candidates accountable at this post for teaching and evaluating creative children’s introductory to intermediate instructional programs in theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and multimedia arts working at this post.
Job requirement
- They must have current standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates to be eligible for this post.
- They must acquire AODA Customer Service/IASR Training and High Five training courses to be eligible for this post.
- They must have completed 2 years of university/college in Fine Arts or Art History, and Education in one or more of the following arts disciplines: theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, or multi-media arts or equivalent years of art experience to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Applicants interested in this post must have a minimum of 3 years of experience practising and teaching in a related arts discipline to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain previous experience working with all ages in an arts instructional setting.
- Applicants interested in this post must have excellent knowledge of interpretive techniques, aesthetic and technical concepts, and handling program materials in the discipline of instruction to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants interested in this post must have a working knowledge of general registration and visitor procedures.
- They must have working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and of corporate/ departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety to be eligible for this post.
