Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising workers and projects.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling activities.
- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing apprenticeship training.
- The candidate will be responsible for recruiting and hiring employees, as well as carrying out other staffing duties.
- The candidate must train or arrange for training.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing own company.
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up machines and equipment.
- The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
- The candidate must ensure that health and safety regulations are followed.
- The candidate must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading and instructing individuals.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 3 to 4 people.
- The candidate must have First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
Work site environment
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate must work in the construction industry.
- The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
- The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.
- Work setting provides installation and repair services.
- The candidate should work in residential settings, performing work on one, two, and three-family dwellings.
- The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
